DNA paternity testing determines whether a man could be the biological father of a child. We all inherit our DNA (the genetic material) from our biological parents. A DNA paternity test compares a child’s DNA pattern with that of the alleged father to check for evidence of this inheritance—the most definitive proof of a biological relationship.

The result of a DNA paternity test is either an exclusion (the alleged father is not the biological father), or an inclusion (the alleged father is considered the biological father). For a standard paternity test, DDC guarantees at least 99.99% probability of paternity for inclusions or 100% certainty of exclusion. These results are universally admissible in a court of law.

There is no blood test involved. GFCS uses a painless buccal swab to collect sample DNA from inside the participant's cheek. The swab is similar to a cotton swab, but is made of a material called Dacron, which creates a consistent surface for the cheek cells to adhere to. As mentioned above, this collection process is painless.

Only a few years ago, paternity tests cost over $1,000. Due to more advanced technology, a test can now be performed for between $500 and $700. Quality should never be sacrificed for price, especially in situations as sensitive as paternity testing. Efficient and accurate paternity testing should be as affordable as possible.

The cost for a DNA test for the alleged father and child is $425.00. For any other person, Mother or another child the cost is an adidtional $125.00. The test is done by appointment and takes approximately 15 min. Results are admissible in court and are returned in 5 to 7 business days. Test results may be obtained in 2 days for an extra fee.
